Sometimes when you need to ask a question or you're having trouble using Meeco, taking a screenshot and attaching it to your support email can be very helpful to the support team. Here's how you can do it.
If you're using a Mac, you can take a screenshot by pressing "Command (⌘)-Shift-4". This will turn your cursor into crosshair, which you can then use to select the area of your screen you'd like to take a picture of. As soon as you let go of the mouse button, a screenshot is taken. If you press "Command (⌘)-Shift-4" and then the Space bar, the crosshairs turn into a camera icon. If you move the camera icon over a window it becomes highlighted - click to take a picture.
Screenshots are saved by default to your desktop as PNG files names "Screen shot (date and time).png."
WINDOWS VISTA, WINDOWS 7 AND WINDOWS 8 (except Basic and Starter editions)
In Vista and Windows 7, click the Start button, select "Programs" and then "Accessories". You should have Snipping Tool in the list of programs. In Windows 8, you can type "snipping tool" while on the Start screen.
Select the options you'd like from the Snipping Tool and take the screenshot. Click the disk icon to save your picture to a place of your choosing. You should try and save the files as PNG or JPG format.
iOS - iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch
To take a screenshot using an iPhone, iPod Touch or an iPad, you'll need to press the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device, then immediately press and release the Home button. The screenshot is saved in your Camera Roll in the Photos app.
SENDING THE SCREENSHOT
To send the screenshot to Meeco Support, you'll need to add the screenshot as an attachment to your email addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you're already speaking to Support, you can attach the screenshot to your already existing reply.
